Since it happened in dimly lit room, I still got some pictures.2. It took me a while to figure it out. The pictures come good only in very short range. First of all, everything about the camera is manual. It didnt capture the colors or the detail.Overall it wasnt much of an improvement over a disposable camera. And by the way, I did expose one roll that had my diving pictures.
It defeats the whole purpose of wanting to take pictures when you go diving or snorkelling. 1. Loading the film, remembering to rewind before opening the rear of the camera etc. Having a flash was a plus but isnt a huge improvement.
Skip the "brand names". Great underwater camera value. Easy to use and RE-USE since you can replace the film and batteries.
Because we weren't in super super clear water like in Hawaii, the pictures didn't turn out that great even though there's a flash. We were very disappointed since all the reviews were really good for this camera. We used this camera to swim with the manatees and we ended up trashing most of the pictures. The water was clear enough where I thought the pictures would turn out better since we used a disposable camera without flash the last time we were in Crystal Rive, FL.
I bought this camera specially for this trip and used it a lot.Can you imagine my feelings when there were NO ONE picture that you can see. The rolls were Kodak 800 (the best you can get) and I followed all instructions (I am tech guy, so it's not an issue).Next time I will buy one-time use Kodak or other brand underwater camera, but this one is trash. I just come back from my vacation to Caribian, where we did a lot of snorkeling. They even did not charge me in the processing center, because there was nothing to print. Two rolls of films (24 each) and NO pictures at all.
However, in contrast to their great customer rating, I never heard back from them. Beware the deal you will get from shopping with Adorama Camera - they're in it for themselves apparently. Wait, thats the wrong way around. I paid for two, but got one. The reviews for this company looked great so I felt I couldn't go wrong. I recently bought two reusable underwater cameras from Adorama Camera through Amazon. How wrong I was. I immediately sent an email to the company requesting another camera or my money back and noted the shipping costs that were paid for the weight of one camera.
